GIFF is more than its showcase of independent films; it's an experience. Between screenings, explore the vibrant shops and restaurants of historic Brunswick, stroll along the iconic St. Simons Pier, or take a sunset tour of Jekyll Island. You'll leave with more than just festival laurels--you'll leave with memories and newfound connections. In addition to our film screenings, we offer a variety of other fun engaging activities, including industry and filmmaker panel discussions, networking events to include happy hours, mixers and after parties, workshops for scriptwriters and filmmakers, and locally curated events to leave you inspired and connected with our community. Closing out, we will have a red carpet spotlight event, highlighting all of the filmmakers in attendance, and an awards ceremony to recognize the outstanding achievements of the films who participate and win judge awards, including the biggest award of them all: The Best Film Overall.
