An Old Friend

An Old Friend follows Calvin, an utterly average man in a world of extraordinary Imaginary Friends—beasts, heroes, and princesses conjured from childhood wonder. Unlike the others, Calvin is unremarkable, and even he doesn’t understand why he exists. When he realizes only children and other Imaginaries can see him, Calvin sets out to fulfill his purpose: bringing joy to the child who created him. But his journey takes an unexpected turn when he discovers that his child is now a 90-year-old man on his deathbed. Faced with the fleeting nature of time and memory, Calvin must find a way to give meaning to both of their lives before it’s too late.
