First They Came for My College

On January 6, 2023, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis enacted a right-wing takeover of a public university called New College of Florida, targeting both its culture and unique academic program for an ultra-conservative makeover. Resistance is immediate, but the campus descends into chaos as powerful political actors make sweeping changes. Caught up in the mix are a group of intellectually curious young people from all sides of the political spectrum intent on completing their studies at New College, which has suddenly become ground zero in the culture wars.
