Forever is a Delicate Thing

Tommy lives with his grandfather, Poppy, in a run-down home in Los Angeles, California. Poppy struggles with poverty and addictions to gambling, alcohol, and drugs, often leaving Tommy to fend for himself to find food and get by on his own at the feeble age of 11. DCFS informs Poppy that Tommy will be taken out of his custody and follows their last few days together.
