Taylor is a thirteen-year-old who dreams of making her local basketball team. Taylor also has Williams syndrome, a developmental disability that causes cognitive and physical challenges. No matter how much she practices, her coach refuses to play her. Jayla, a college basketball standout, has fallen on tough times after a family tragedy. When she meets Taylor at the rec center, Taylor convinces Jayla to train her. Jayla helps Taylor improve her game, while Taylor shows Jayla how to love again. An unlikely friendship forms, giving Jayla a second chance at family, and Taylor the opportunity at her dream.
