Out of Mind

“OUT OF MIND,” the music video accompaniment to Kacey Fifield’s edgy, pop-rock single, plays with internal conflict and emotional fixation via the lens of a thriller film. The video externalizes the emotional turmoil of lingering romantic attachment through a slasher-inspired narrative, in which Fifield portrays two versions of herself: the “victim” of the haunting and the “final girl” who saves the day. As she simultaneously hides from and romances the masked killer pursuing her, the lines between these fractured identities begin to blur.
