Royal Foot Guards

Because of his cheery nature and overly positive outlook, Chester Popplestone consistently fails the test to become a Royal Foot Guard. After his eighth attempt, his Sergeant instructs him to give up the cause. As he searches for a new purpose in life, Chester meets the Trio of Goths: Hellspawn, Deathbringer, and Peter at the town’s local Depression Pub. The nihilists take the naive young man under their wing in an effort to teach him how to hate the world and put an end to his joyful nature.
