Seeds of Imagination

Seeds of Imagination examines what happens to authorship when art moves from private creation into public space. Following GRAMMY Award–winning multidisciplinary artist Zeph Farmby, the film traces a single painting from its conception in the studio to its public activation during the Dumbo Drop, one of Brooklyn’s largest cultural events. As the work becomes subject to collective interpretation, spectacle, and institutional visibility, the artist confronts the limits of intention, ownership, and control. Concluding with an artist talk at Dumbo House, the documentary frames imagination as a contested site shaped by audience, context, and power, positioning art not as a fixed object but as a living social process.
