Johnny Rey Diaz is an award-winning Latino actor and filmmaker and first-generation American born to Mexican and Colombian immigrant parents. He is currently earning his MFA in Producing at USC’s Peter Stark Program. His recent projects include "Miracle Wood", which premiered at SeriesFest 2024, winning the Audience Award and Best Late Night, and was an official selection of the Academy Award–qualifying Nashville Film Festival. He also co-directed and produced the episodic pilot "Puncher’s Chance", winner of the Caz Matthews Award at SeriesFest 2023 and now streaming on Amazon and Tubi. As an actor, Johnny was a series regular on Amazon’s single-cam comedy "Primo", produced by Michael Schur and Shea Serrano, and has appeared in numerous television series including the Emmy-nominated "Pam & Tommy", "Narcos: Mexico", and "Grey’s Anatomy".
