Jonathan Green is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, educator, and storyteller. Born with ichthyosis, a rare genetic skin condition, he writes characters who feel they are watching the life they want from the outside — stories of self-acceptance, finding your voice, and the unglamorous courage of moving on. His narrative feature debut, Miss Matched (2026) — a semi-autobiographical rom-com he wrote, directed, and starred in — has earned festival selections and awards including Audience Choice (FirstGlance Philadelphia & BRaveMaker Film Fest) and Best Comedy Feature (Marina Del Rey Film Festival), and anticipates a limited theatrical run and VOD release. A lifelong Star Wars and sci-fi devotee, Jonathan aims to marry the genre with the warmth and physical humor of 2000s comedies, creating a new vehicle for exploring the follies of being human, even in space. His sci-fi short Crystal (2023) won Best VFX at the SFO Short Film Festival; his fantasy web series Aftering (2022) won Grand Prize at the Golden State Film Festival.
