Piero F. Giunti is an award-winning Los Angeles–based photographer, filmmaker, and curator whose work sits at the intersection of music, community, and global cultural storytelling. Over the last decade, he has devoted his life’s work to preserving the voices and images of the artists who shaped Los Angeles through A Great Day in East LA®, the largest oral history and portrait project ever created about the musicians of Los Angeles. As a photographer, his lens has captured and collaborated with a wide range of influential international artists, including Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Tom Morello, Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine), The Black-Eyed Peas, ZZTop, Becky G, Los Tigres del Norte, Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Caifanes. His photographs have been published internationally in outlets including Vogue, Rolling Stone, Billboard, and SPIN.He has served as Los Lobos' official photographer and videographer for the past eight years.
