Sidi Wang is a Chinese filmmaker currently based in New York. Having moved to the U.S. on her own as a teenager, she developed an attentiveness to people and environments shaped by distance. Working across fiction and documentary, her films are guided by quiet observation of the disarming beauty of human fragility and the presence of what remains unseen. Her work has been selected at FIDMarseille, SXSW, Nowness Asia, among others. She is currently an MFA candidate in the Graduate Film program at NYU.
