Mantis Stream! Like & Subscribe

Craig proposes to his girlfriend on her praying mantis themed livestream and subsequently chokes to death on an egg, live on the internet. The paramedics, police, and Craig's own mother performatively try to "help" as Craig slowly chokes to death in front of them, and the world begins to unravel around them at the seams. Mantis Stream! Like and Subscribe explores performative activism and the surrealism of watching tragedies unfold from behind a screen. The film blends live-action filmmaking with 3D animation to replicate the feeling of losing touch with the physical, as reality becomes increasingly, terrifyingly digital.
